Campuses in Development
History
In 1986, God spoke to a group of people from Bloomington who were attending The Vineyard Church in Urbana and called them to plant a church in Bloomington. Larry and Marji Larson first pastored the church for ten years, followed by David and Amy Biebly who pastored the church from 1996 until 2010.
In 2010, God spoke to the Bielbys to return to the mission field and become part of the China/Taiwan Partnership. In September of 2010, the Bloomington Vineyard was adopted as the fifth campus in our multi-site church. Jim and Vicki Egli were the interim pastors at first; now the church is pastored by Stephanie and Russell Davenport. Stephanie and Russell began a small group in Farmer City, IL in 2008 and God spoke to the Davenports and another couple to make plans for a future church in Bloomington, connected to their Farmer City efforts.
In 2011, a conversation between two couples set things in motion for the Davenports to pastor the Bloomington Campus. Nine of the Farmer City small group members became a part of The Vineyard Church, Bloomington Campus and the Davenports began to lead.
